🔑 Big Idea:
God’s presence doesn’t vanish when things go wrong — sometimes the wilderness is exactly where He leads us.
📖 Scripture:
“And the Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. He was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels waited on him.”
— Mark 1:12–13 (NRSV)
💡 Key Insight:
Jesus began his public ministry not with a miracle, but with a mess — driven by the Spirit straight into the wilderness to face temptation, wild beasts, and silence. That’s not failure; that’s formation. Like Jesus, we too may be led into hard places right after a big breakthrough. The struggle doesn’t mean God has abandoned us — it means He’s shaping us for what’s next. In difficult transitions or disappointing jobs, God is still with us, sending help, realigning our hearts, and deepening our dependence on Him. Don’t let difficulty make you doubt your calling.
🔍 Reflect & Act:
- Have you ever started something new only to feel like you landed in the wilderness?
- Ask: What might God be forming in me during this season?
- Talk to a trusted friend or mentor about how God has sustained you through past workplace challenges.
- Watch for “angels” — people or moments that bring divine encouragement in your desert.
🙏 Power Prayer:
Lord, when the excitement fades and reality feels rough, help me remember that you are still with me. Teach me to trust your purposes in the wilderness seasons. Shape my heart through hardship and send the strength I need — through your Spirit and your people. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
